The pH rapid test enables the early detection of an imbalance in the vaginal microecological balance.
By regularly testing themselves, people with a vagina can prevent vaginal infections and the associated complications and, if necessary, take quick action to address them.
The most natural protection against vaginal discomfort is a healthy vaginal flora. Various types of lactobacilli support the vaginal flora by fermenting sugar into lactic acid, thereby creating a slightly acidic pH level between 3.8 and 4.5. This acidic environment provides effective protection against infections caused by pathogenic bacteria or fungi.
A disruption of the vaginal microecological balance usually leads to an increase in the pH level to over 4.5. This shift not only reduces quality of life but also poses a significant health risk.
Did you know that
20–30% of all gynecological patients suffer from vaginal infections? They complain of increased discharge, a fishy odor, as well as itching, burning, or dryness.
15–20% of all pregnant women are diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis, which increases the risk of preterm birth and premature rupture of membranes? It also increases the likelihood of fever during childbirth and a bacterial infection in the unborn baby.
