Hello to everyone who’s already enthusiastic but just starting out, or who’s curious and has absolutely no idea about ropes.
On October 3, 2026, there will be a Shibari workshop at the Erogen Zone. We’ll take half a day to dive a little into the world of tying and/or being tied up. The focus will primarily be on safety, consent, how we handle the ropes, how we tie knots, and why we do this in the first place.
//What is Shibari?
Shibari is an artistic bondage technique that originated in Japan. For us, Shibari combines aesthetics, trust, communication, playing with emotions and pain, and much more.
//What do I need?
Clothing you feel comfortable in.
Exercise mat (if available)
Bondage/Shibari ropes (if available)
//For most of the workshop, you’ll need a partner to tie up or who will tie you up. So feel free to sign up in pairs or even groups of three.
If you’d like to come alone, that’s fine too. The important thing is that you’re open to tying up people you don’t know.
ACCESSIBILITY INFO
EVENT: German spoken language; we ask that self-organized translations be provided without amplification.
ACCESS TO THE WORKSHOP ROOM
Lift with a 300 kg load capacity, separate entrance to the workshop room with an automatic door (not through the store), accessible restroom with an automatic door on the entrance level
//Registration at: veranstaltung@erogene-zone.org
Please let us know:
- whether you’re coming alone, as a couple, or in a group of three
- whether you’ll be bringing your own ropes
- whether you have previous experience with ropes
P.S. We’ll be able to provide ropes from our personal collection for a few people, but there won’t be enough for everyone.
At the “Erogen Zone,” there will be jute ropes ready for tying that you can purchase. We think these ropes are great and use them ourselves. So if you already know that Shibari is going to be your new main hobby, feel free to browse the store.
P.P.S. The workshop is donation-based. A maximum of 20 people can participate, and if everyone comes, they’ll need to cover the total cost [room rental 70,- + x (for the workshop facilitators, organizational expenses, etc.)]. If you don’t have any financial means right now, please reach out to us—we’ll find a solution.
We look forward to seeing you!
